Wooden Bunk Beds – Bunk beds are a useful addition to a child’s room. Lofting one bed above the other, saving more than 20 square feet of usable space. Many children also simply enjoy the process of crawling up in a tall bunk. You can spend hundreds, even thousands, of dollars on manufactured bunk beds, or you can build your own on a weekend afternoon using tools that you probably have on hand.
Arrange two 39-inch beams and two 75-inch beams in a rectangular wooden bunk beds frame, at their edges 2 inches wide. The ends of the 75-inch beams should rest against the interior faces of the 39-inch beams. Connect them using two wood screws in each corner, through the face of the shortest beam and at the end of the length. Put a sheet of plywood on top of the frame. Screw it into place with a wooden screw at each corner, driven through the plywood and at the edge of the beam underneath.

Drill two holes at each end of both 75-inch beams, drilling all the way across the face 4 inches wide. Use a drill of the same diameter as the bolts on your car. Place the holes in a vertical line, 2 inches from the end of the beam, every 1/2 inch from the edges and 1/2 inch from each other. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to build the second bed base. Sand all sides of two-bed bases with rough sandpaper. And just paint the wooden bunk beds for the final step.More reader came from this term: wooden bunk beds
